Some days my students can be overpowered by their least favorite super villain, the fast and active 'Wiggle Monster'. When the Wiggle Monster appears my students can become distracted trying to defeat him using their super powers of flexible thinking. All of the adversity I have had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles have strengthened me ~ Walt Disney." My goal as an educator is to help my students overcome the obstacles and challenges that make it difficult for them to access education. Often times it may be a simple solution, a minor accommodation or classroom modification such as a wiggle seat or foot fidget, that makes all the difference. While the solution is simple, getting access to the needed resources and equipment is a challenge I face when teaching my students. I am requesting support to bring tilt stools, seat pedals, wobble cushions, stools and seat spots to my students. I am also requesting a clover table that will easily accommodate our selected flexible seating options. With your support I am hopeful that we will help my students to overcome adversity, strengthen their character and become the amazing future leaders of tomorrow that I know they can be.
