The headphones will help my speech therapy students hear my voice and allow me to hear the sounds they are making. Currently, their headphones pick all the noise in the classroom and it is very distracting. Noise-canceling headphones are essential for my students to learn to communicate more effectively to be able to access the curriculum. As a speech therapist, we travel to classrooms or pull out small groups to a small space. With Covid protocols changing daily, the district has now mandated that all speech therapy happen virtually for the time being to reduce people moving around the buildings. Teletherapy can be very beneficial to the students, with the proper equipment. My building does not have noise-canceling headphones for all of my students. Thank you for considering my project and putting students first!
