The force tables will be used by the students to analyze data to support the claim that Newton’s second law of motion describes the mathematical relationship among the net force on a macroscopic object, its mass, and its acceleration. (HS-PS2-1) The force tables show the net force that's acting on an object. From there the students can hypothesize what the acceleration of the object would be. The rocket launchers will help the students design, build, and refine a device that works within given constraints to convert one form of energy into another form of energy. The rocket will take the kinetic energy in the beginning and change it to potential energy at the top of its peak. Then change it back into kinetic again.
