We currently do not have a functioning scoreboard in our gymnasium. Extracurricular sports are vital to the academic success of our students. A new scoreboard would help to keep our sporting events organized, while giving students a sense of pride in the new equipment. As of this week, we are either using a borrowed portable scoreboard, or have to rely on whiteboards and markers to keep score. This has become a source of embarrassment for some of our athletes. Being able to have a scoreboard of our own would bring excitement to our upcoming sporting events for athletes and fans alike. Sports are extremely important for our student population. Sports, in many cases, are the sole motivator for students to be successful in the classroom. New scoreboards would go a long way in helping our students to feel empowered while playing their games.
