At Fernley Intermediate School, we run a yearly outdoor education day, as well as a summer outdoor education camp, to expose our students to the amazing outdoor life in the state of Nevada. We partner with the Nevada Department of Wildlife to create awesome stations for the kids to engage with nature. One of those stations is the ARCHERY station. We currently have a small set of compound bows, however, we have been looking at expanding our resources to include recurve bows as well. Using these new bows, many more of our students will be able to engage in hands-on learning opportunities. During the past few years, our outdoor education program has expanded by 300%. Our current supplies are inadequate to support our outdoor education programs. Expansion is needed in order to reach more of our student population. Using this recurve bow set, we will be able to increase our numbers and engage with more of our student population.
