CCSD and Western High school has a large ELL population. They need technology to help them when they are in regular classrooms. I have students that have been in the US for less than a month and speak zero english. iPads are easier to use than some of the technology on campus. Students can also use the iPad with other technology to help them with their English assignments. Translation apps can also be super helpful and these iPads can help with this. This technology can also be used in connection with the Rosetta Stone software we used for learning English.
