My students are having some challenges with learning their basic letters, sounds and numbers. We are doing centers and learning in small groups how to make letters, recognize them and learn the sound. One of the standards I am working with is K.RF.1.d. Number sense is an important 21st century skill all children need, my students are learning about one to one correspondence and how to make and recognize numbers. The standard we connect it to is K.CC.4.b. The students need practice working with their new concepts and these new tools will give them fun ways to do that.
