These resources will help promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards by exposing and providing books at their reading levels that capture my students' interests. Providing leveled and complex books will help them meet their end of the year goal : students will be able to read and comprehend literary and informational texts texts independently and proficiently (RL.3.10 and RI.3.10). Due to the impacts of COVID, many of my students fell behind in reading comprehension, therefore, they are reading below grade level. An organized and leveled classroom library with high interest books will help engage reluctant readers and promote a love for reading for all of my students. It will also strengthen their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and reading fluency by providing books that are "just right" for them. My students will be able to cultivate a positive reading attitude and aspire to grow in their reading by meeting their reading comprehension needs with an organized and leveled library.
