Many students with Autism enjoy and are motivated when working on a computer. Unfortunately, most of the school district computers are outdated and work poorly. Our school is an at-risk, low-income, Title I school where students, parents, and staff do not have access to the newest technology. This computer would benefit all of us because the classroom PC has to have a separate camera, microphone, and external speakers. At times one or more of these do not work during Google Meets, IEP meetings, or Parent-Teacher Conferences. Students will also be able to use this computer to do online interviews, and or be involved in their Virtual IEP meetings. Students will also benefit from this new computer because I'll be able to communicate with families much easier. Finally, this computer could also be used as a positive reinforcer after exhibiting good behavior.
