Everyone has the right to communicate and to participate to their fullest extent. The advancement of technology and visuals have opened the door for many individuals with speech and language impairments. Our students will benefit from having additional resources to provide access communication to help them interact with their peers and teachers as well as participate in their classes. I have seen first hand the impact assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) can have in a student's life and I look forward to seeing more students succeed with these resources!
