These materials will be used to help keep my students engaged in our daily learning. Being able to read aloud to students, let students use many ways to answers questions and being able to reward their effort makes them want to work hard in the classroom. Students who are part of their learning through active engagement more likely to learn than those students who are passive learners. These materials will be used to make sure that my students are engaged daily in all areas of learning in the fourth grade. The fidget bands will allow students that need to move around while learning the opportunity to do so. The read alouds will enhance our literacy block and allow students to see good examples of writing so that they have models when they move to their own writing. With this grant the pens will allow our publishing to be an fun project in our classroom. The math manipulatives will allow for hands on math projects to become more tactile for the students so that they are remembering what they learn.
