The ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and interesting way is extremely important. Students need to practice and refine these skills using up-to-date technology in order to be able to master the standard and feel confident. Nevada Academic Content Standard for third grade speaking and listening requires that students "report on a topic or text, tell a story, or recount an experience with appropriate facts and relevant, descriptive details, speaking clearly at an understandable pace." Through this project, my students will use the iPad to record themselves presenting on a variety of topics. Students will also create written reports and visuals to demonstrate what they have learned, and will be able to print these using the colored printer. Polished final pieces will help my students build confidence as learners.
