I am requesting an updated working laptop that we can use for distance learning. Access to distance education and technology is still needed. We are back in class, but we do have times when some students must learn from home for short periods of time "just in case." This is where having an updated working laptop would help facilitate lessons, provide for live streaming of lessons, and provide a safety net for my teaching and their learning. Standard that this laptop would help address: NVACS for Computer Science K-12, P2 Collaborating Around Computing P2.4 Evaluate and select technological tools that can be used to collaborate on a project. NVACS English Language Arts 4, W.4.(4-6) Production and Distribution of Writing W.4.6 With some guidance and support from adults, use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others; demonstrate sufficient command of keyboarding skills to type a minimum of one page in a single sitting.
