These items will help my students become independent readers and writers. Students will have a strong foundation in phonics using the games that have been purchased. The games will help assist them with sounding out words. The ink pads and dobbers will help students learn sight words. These items will also help students to become strong writers using a variety of manipulatives such as stamp pads, dry erasers, paint, and sentence strips. Students will have a better understanding of number sense and problem-solving using hands-on math manipulatives in centers. This will help my students have a stronger foundation in number sense. Students that speak a second language will have a better understanding of math and reading by using hands-on materials and pictures that are included in the games and leveled readers. The mini mice with help my students navigate easier when using their Chromebooks. Stickers will provide motivation for students to challenge themselves to become better students and be prepared for first grade.
