This project will help my students tremendously. The flexible seating will be used for small group lessons. COVID learning allowed for students to be at the comfort of their home, I'd like to accommodate students with comfort from the regular chairs they sit in all day. Reinforcing the flexibility of the seating will also help my students that can't stay still. I have some students who prefer to stand than to be seated for a large portion of the day. The headset and computer mouse will help our classroom work efficiently by aiding students navigate their Chromebooks during independent work time. Headsets with a microphone will let students use websites that help them with their reading as it listens to their fluency. Distance learning took a real toll on their reading fluency and comprehension. Giving them time now to get some daily reading in will help them get back on track. The pencil sharpener will be a help as students use manual sharpeners that leave a trail of pencil shavings (less time cleaning up the floor).
