These resources will help support literature learning at home as students will be able to take books home to engage in family activities. Specifically, these books will support standards 2.PK.1, 2.PK.2., and 2.PK.3 (early literacy skills). Additionally, these books will support 1.PK.1b, 3.PK.1 (feelings), and 6.PK.1c (social emotional learning). These are essential standards for student success, as students will be reinforcing major standards related to building early literacy skills and positive expression of feelings and self confidence. As early learners, we want to build these skills through literature so that students are successful and prepared for kindergarten.
