The rug is THE gathering place in an early childhood classroom, it is the center of our community. The students come together on the rug to learn, to share space and to grow as humans. Our washable classroom rug will be the setting for many stories, songs, group activities and dance times for years to come! The 3-6 year old kiddos in my class spend so much time at school, that the classroom begins to feel like a second home for them. This project will allow my students to feel comfortable and relaxed, while I am reassured that I can offer them the cleanest and safest environment possible with the ability to machine wash our rug.

About my class
