These resources will help my students with creating representations of the different math topics we explore during class and seeing how these representations connect with each other. My students love to be involved in their learning, sharing examples, talking with each other through their problem solving. These materials will help to organize their thinking when we are graphing equations, making a table of values, sketching word problems, and lead to a better understanding of the world around them. There will be more freedom to choose their best pathway during class with flexible seating options, giving my 8th graders advocacy opportunities to explore and express what is working best for them. With graphing paper, whiteboards, and large wall post-its, students will be eager to display their thoughts and really dig into conversations with each other!
