I have the privilege of working closely with many students ranging between Kindergarten and fourth grade who have been identified as requiring additional assistance in improving their literacy and fluency skills. The majority of my students have never been in a school setting aside from distance learning, and have received little to no support at home during the previous Covid-19 affected school years. They are a joy to work with and make everyday a rewarding experience. The supplies requested will help to better organize and plan for each of my multiple groups throughout the day. I believe in offering students a worksheet over having them on chromebooks. Worksheets from Teachers Pay Teachers and open table work offers students the ability to talk, brainstorm, and bounce ideas off each other that cannot be beat. A color printer will offer easier access to online resources to print for the students and pencils for them to write with. Finally, after all their hardwork I want to offer them a little LOVE with a Hershey Kiss. With access to these supplies, I will be able to have more access and materials that will keep my time with the students fun and exciting each day. I try to come up with something new when I see my students to ensure they do not get bored; and look forward to coming to work with me each day. My students love the hands-on learning I offer them and the variety; and I am blessed that I am able to show my students that learning is fun.
