Innovative, fun, varying fitness routines will help our children stay healthy. Not only will they keep their bodies in shape, but research shows that physical activities help stimulate the brain and allows kids to focus better in their academic classes. These stationary bikes will enable me to introduce kids to indoor cycling - a skill they can use their whole lives to stay active! I am always looking for new ways to introduce physical activity to my students. Different students gravitate to different activities, and my goal is to always find something for everyone! Biking is such a great activity for all athletic abilities and ages, and middle school is a perfect time to introduce stationary bikes. The kids are old enough to understand how to use them with care, manipulate the settings, and test their skill and endurance. They can remember and track their progress and improvement, and feel good about themselves as they move up in difficulty levels and speeds.
