By donating to this project, your funds will help our students feel safe, cared for and understood. When they're hungry and are afraid to ask, they'll know the counseling room is a place where their individual needs can be met without risk of exposure in front of other classmates. They will have a space to come to for a mental and emotional health break that is relaxing and inviting to them. Items like a bean bag chair to relax in or rug where they can practice meditation are some solutions. They will have access to appropriate sensory and calming toys. They will know the space was designed just for them. All of the items were chosen for promoting social emotional relief that will help free up the mental space needed to receive new information and improve learning.
