There is no doubt that these are trying times, and a lot of students are excited to finally be back in the classroom to learn. This year we are all about "Cultivating Excellence," and for my students keeping them engaged and excited about learning is how I plan to do this. Students will be able to use the materials in this project to participate in interactive learning as they get reacclimated to the classroom. The whiteboards, game buzzers, and comprehension cubes will all be used for interactive games to review Common Core Standards. Additionally, the Sharpies, Post-It Notes, colored pencils, crayons, and glue sticks will provide my students the option of demonstrating their learning through another medium (art) for variety. The chart paper, bulletin board paper, grammar and punctuation posters will assist in creating an interactive word wall and anchor charts to post around the classroom for referencing by the students. The surge protectors will give my students access to electricity for their Chromebooks in class, as they use the technology for classwork as well. It is my hope that with this project my students will stay engaged in and excited about their learning.
