My students are working to learn songs to create our Pep band, but our music is very much out of date. We would like to be able to purchase some new music, some classic rock and some very recent material that will help the students to learn even more. My students made a wish list of the music they would like to play and as pep band is an extracurricular activity that supports my classroom, I would love to be able to get all of the music for them. These songs will enhance their performances and be at a level they can succeed at. This aligns with the performing standard. We will perform artistic work through interpretation and presentation. It also aligns with Anchor Standard 5. Develop and refine artistic work for presentation. These songs will be used for years to come and will add some fun to our outdated library. We will be able to learn about other musical genres as we play as well.
