Students are wanting to make more and more casual wear that is comfy to wear which means using knit fabrics. Sewing machines are good for sewing them and we have plenty of sergers to finish off the edges. The only issue comes down to hemming those knits and that is where a Cover stitch comes into play. We need one so the students can hem all of these types of materials. It will help them with COVID because they can wear their comfy clothes while at home or at school. A cover stitch machine will also help to build their confidence because they become so proud of their accomplishments, and it is even more impressive to them if it looks like the clothes they get at the store. This is the type of machine they use in the industry and it would be so great to get one of these so the students can see how it works. We have not purchased one in the past because they are so expensive.
