The Library is the heart of every school and in order to keep THIS heart pumping we need books that the students want and those books are graphic novels! We have a collection of graphic novels but they just aren't enough - this project will add new titles as well as more copies of some of our most popular titles! Graphic novels are REAL BOOKS! Graphic novels benefit all readers - reluctant readers, struggling readers, readers with learning differences, and advanced readers too! Graphic novels also help students develop various literacy skills including the ability to interpret nonverbal gestures, the understanding of sequence of events, builds a stronger vocabulary, and promotes independent reading! Every reader should reader graphic novels and with your help I can get more graphic novels in the hands of our students!
