My first-graders enjoy showing what they know for a quick formative assessment! The student whiteboards will be used for each child to have readily available in their desks for quick responses, and given the climate that we are in right now, students are not able to share a lot when it comes to school resources in the classroom. The chart paper will be used daily for Explicit Phonics. This is something we do in class everyday to help my students with their blending and sound-spelling activities. The books will be used for my "beginning readers" that have not been exposed to letter names/sounds and for those that need more help with reading text with certain phonics skills.
