As the focus of second language classes has shifted more towards proficiency so have my teaching methods. We use the natural approach to learning as well as the comprehensible input. With these approaches, we provide students with lots of input from the target language that they easily can understand. Research has shown that one of the most effective ways for students to build their vocabularies and acquire more language is through reading. Offering students a wide array of books and appealing to their interests is one of the best ways to keep them reading and learning. Through this project, I am hoping to expand my reading selection so that students can find books that appeal to their interests.
