I am requesting this professional learning device to help me stay up to date with a constantly changing education platform. Last year due to the pandemic, we were online for the majority of the year, with transitioning into hybrid during the last month. I know that we are all aware of the hardships that students faced, and the difficulties of being able to connect with those struggles. However, thankfully, this year we are back in person and we have been able to build the personal relationships with students that we all needed desperately last year. The one truth I have learned from last years difficult challenges, is that technology was the one light we had during the darkest times students, and teachers alike - had faced in years. It is because of technology, with modern hardware and software, that we are able to continue pushing forward, continue growing, and continue to over come adversity together. With the technology this device would be able to provide, it would allow me to stay modern, professional, and relevant with my students. This would promote desire and willingness from my students to learn, as it would for them to grow. I find it easier for students to follow what they can relate with. Having the technology, tools, and ability to gather information effectively would allow me to give them the revenant connection they need, and the connection I desire. Being able to look up, research, and express the topic at hand, efficiently and effectively, would allow my students to focus on the material without struggle. Having a tool, they've heard of, and more than likely interacted with, would show that I am as much a part of the times, as I am a part of the times I wish to teach.
