All of these items will help my children have a more hands on experience in their classroom. COVID really made them fall away from the close interacting that needs to occur to have the best learning possible. Hands on learning is essential for all first graders to succeed. My easel will help me interact closer to students and help them be more engaged in their learning. The additional math manipulatives will help support these young learners. These materials will specifically help me meet Nevada's first grade academic standard in reading. RL 1.1 that requires students to ask and answer questions about key details in a text. It will also help me meet Nevada's first grade math standards 1.0A.B.4 that has students understanding and applying properties of operations and relationship between addition and subtraction.
