I teach high school students with significant learning disabilities at a Title I school. Because of the pandemic, food insecurity has become more evident. I have witnessed my students struggle with learning because their tummies are empty. The purpose of my project is to teach my students a variety of life skills such as budgeting and time management. I would like to use a token economy system to reward my students while teaching them skills they can use during high school and beyond. I am requesting a printer which will be used to print currency that students will earn from completing tasks and kind deeds.The snacks and water will be used as a reward and to nourish the students. The file cabinet will be used to store the supplies. I appreciate your time and consideration!
