Students will love reading these books. Many have come to 3rd grade without grade level reading skills. Having a variety of high quality reading materials will help them gain the skills they need. 3rd graders will love having amazing pictures books to read. Also, several students read both English and Spanish. The addition of bilingual books will engage them in read more and help to build their skills in two languages. Scholastic magazine will help students learn about current events. Finally, a class set of headphones will help students use listen to books in our school's subscription of Learning A-Z and Myon. Dry erase markers will assist students when working on dry erase boards. They will love having their own markers that have a built in eraser. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.3.10 By the end of the year, read and comprehend literature, including stories, dramas, and poetry, at the high end of the grades 2-3 text complexity band independently and proficiently.
