The materials that have been chosen sopport Nevada's academic content standards in reading foundational skills which states students need to read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension. The items that I have chosen will allow students to learn foundational skills that are necessary to foster their abilities to become fluent readers through engaging activities. Students will have the opportunity to work with peers to further their their foundational knowledge of phonic and phonemic awareness to foster their literacy achievements helping them become proficient at reading fluently and comprehension.
