Covid 19 has caused trauma to these students, students now more than ever need extra items and resources to help them be successful. The following items will help our classroom out tremendously . Books will help make reading fun and have students understand how exciting story time can be. Lamination sheets and paper cutter will help create centers for students individualized needs. These centers will be able to be reused and last throughout time. My students are very active. The wobble seats and pop its will help them control body movement and help them focus on making smart choices in the classroom. The stickers will help them be rewarded for the smart choices they make. Letter and number activities will help the students catch up on the gaps that were caused from being home the last 17 months. White boards and an easel will help the students be able to write from different locations, and not always be stuck at their tables. In Kindergarten movement is necessary to keep the students focused. RL.K.1-With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about key details in a text. RF.K.1-Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print. L.K.1a-Print many upper- and lowercase letters. L.K.6-Use words and phrases acquired through conversations, reading and being read to, and responding to texts. K.CC.A.3-Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects). K.CC.B.5-Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1–20, count out that many objects.
