I grew up in a single-parent Dominican Household. I have a Masters's degree in Career and Technical Education. My mother has a 2nd-grade educational level. Reading in my household was non-existent. Therefore, I read a lot with my students and with my own children. This allows their imaginations to soar!!! I have a reading corner in my classroom that needs a bit more love. I have a rug and some books but I want students to enjoy that space. Reading needs to be fun, creative, and inspiring! My students struggle with reading and comprehension. I want to begin a "lounge and read" in my curriculum. I want students to read about anything and everything. Thank you for all your help! <3 Ms. Rivera
