Working with Emergent Bilingual students, it is very important that students have access to high quality books that will support their confidence, comprehension, and love for literacy. These graphic novels specifically will support English language development, inspire minds and cultivate a love for reading that will transfer across subjects. Currently, my students only have access to a handful of books that are engaging and appropriate for their reading level, and there are already multiple students who have worked through the whole list! Having an increased number of books will offer new and exciting content to push their literacy.

About my class
