The supplies that are used help students interact with learning in a more hands on way. The alternative seating allows students to work in their preferred seating style. It also is conducive for collaborative learning. Students are returning after having much more control of their educational choices during distance learning, and a good way to meet them halfway is to offer options in the form of alternative seating. It allows them to feel more in control of their education, which creates a buy-in for them to then participate in class.
