This project will specifically address Nevada Academic Content Standards SS.9-12.CE30 and SS.9-12.CE31. Both of these standards address the role of the media and special interest groups and how they influence public policy. In addition, as a result of COVID-19 students lost the ability to complete hands-on activities while learning remotely. This project will gives students a more hands-on learning experience as a result of having materials like glue guns, felt and markers available to use in the classroom. As a Social Studies teacher I look forward to bringing the vital role special interest groups play in our government alive in my classroom.

About my class
