MATH.4.B. Number & Operations in Base Ten 1 Use place value understanding and properties of operations to perform multi-digit arithmetic. Math is so important and comprehended best through different methods for different individuals. Especially with students at different levels, storage materials and manipulatives students are able to use to visualize concepts in different ways will guide students in a safe learning environment. SEL.4.1. SEL.4.2. Another resource that can be very helpful in my classroom is a calming corner. I completely understand the need students may have to take a break and use self-guided strategies to bring them back to the lesson focus. Student are back in class from distance learning to a class that is almost double what they are use to. The atmosphere and change and effect the degree of successful learning instantly. A colorful rug to help create a cozy corner with calming strategies is something I am most excited for in providing for my students that need it.
