Whiteboards empower student voice, especially outside of the typical classroom setting and they give students a space where they can create and express themselves with few restrictions. Oftentimes when students collaborate or there are classes in the library, they are limited to technology or individual paper and writing utensils. Having a white board on each side of the library will allow multiple groups to brainstorm, create, share, and edit in an easily accessible, user-friendly format. Some possible uses include practicing math equations before and after school as well as during lunch; creating ELA outlines, and working on robotic designs. Students could also use them to write quick book reviews and recommendations.
