After a year of learning at home. Students are struggling to adjust to the structure of a traditional classroom. I want to provide cozy alternatives, so that students can feel comfortable and focused instead of on their learning environment. I plan on having alternative seating options and even a standing option for students. Current best practices suggest that an environment where kids can choose the set up that works best for them allows them to spend more effort on learning and less on fidgeting. Overall, with students being away from the rigidity of the classroom improving the learning environment improves student experiences with learning and their social emotional wellbeing.
