Level up with multisensory materials project is about encompassing the whole child. The project has different areas such as literacy and math, fine motor skills, sensory and social-emotional. It is crucial to teach and re-teach all these essential skills, especially after this pandemic. Children learn as whole-selves, for them to be able to be ready to learn literacy and math, they have to be socially and emotionally ready, have the fine motor skills to write, and have sensory regulation to be ready to learn. Students with disabilities may have not developed the same skills at the same time as their regular education peers due to medical, emotional, environmental or cognitive, or physical impairments. This project will help support all the children with disabilities in our school considering the child as a whole and supporting all areas of development.
