These materials will first be used in school for reading instruction. The teacher and student will read the book together. This way the teacher can model proper reading behaviors. The books will then be sent home with the students to practice their reading skills. The reading of continuous texts helps a child grow as a reader. The more books a student has will help them grow as a reader. Reading frequently helps a child learn new words and develop their reading comprehension skills. As students build a larger sight word vocabulary through reading they can then learn to read more complex books.
