When I took over my current classroom, I found that the classroom library was severely outdated and many of the books were in complete disrepair. My students love to read, but there were almost no new and exciting options available for them on the shelves. Our goal this year is to become better and more thoughtful readers and writers, and we cannot do that without a wide variety of diverse and exciting books to read. A well-stocked classroom library, with a variety of books on diverse topics and with diverse characters, will help keep my students interested in reading, improve their reading comprehension, and expand their worldview. My students enjoy reading. Please help me provide them with the necessary resources to keep them engaged, and improve and expand their skills.
