With that money they were able to buy items for a Thanksgiving party. An added challenge for third graders was that they also had to provide enough food for 10 guests. When they were done purchasing their items, they got to make an invitation. They said that you can be invited to their Thanksgiving party! \r\n\r\nThe students are looking forward to more \"real world\" ways to incorporate STEAM into our daily learning. We would not have these opportunities if it wasn't for your generous donation. Celebrating their time at our school and looking towards middle school will be even better with the right supplies! They will be creating scale models of food trucks, and now they'll look even better with art supplies to support their hard work. They are in awe by the fact that there is a built in light to help the plants grow.\r\n\r\nThis particular project has also helped us learn more about life science in a hands on way. We have learned that the life of a plant starts as a seed. The students have learned that a tiny sprout comes from the seeds. They have learned that when it sprouts this is called germination. It was an incredible difference to our plants not on the cart we were comparing them to. It kept the baking soda cool for our snow making lesson, our earthworms alive, and our homemade playdoh from drying out.
