The iPad and Apple Pencil make working math equations seamless. I can wirelessly address student questions with the students in my classrooms (via screen sharing the iPad to the projector in the room) as well as present the same information to any virtual students (via sharing to Zoom). The highly developed app ecosystem for the iPad offers a platform that can change and adapt to the needs of my students. As creative and new applications are developed, they can be utilized quickly, on a familiar platform. The advantages of such a platform become obvious when working with subjects such a 7th grade math. Working with expressions (7.EE) and geometry (7.G) become much easier on the iPad due to the ability to used specialized tools to keep my diagrams neat and organized.
