Nevada Academic Content Standards for Visual Arts: VA:Crl.6.1 Combine concepts collaboratively to generate innovative ideas for creating art. These special Lego sets with people Legos will allow my students with moderate to severe autism express themselves creatively, work collaboratively, and socially communicate with each other. Working together and building with Legos will help my students develop positive social skills and practice effective communication as they design and build beautiful Lego structures. Adding the people Legos to their structures will encourage my students to have meaningful discussions with each other. Students will work in pairs building with the Lego sets. Teacher and staff will work directly with the student pairs prompting the students to talk to each other as they design and build their structure and choose the people to add to their structures.
