The use of a projector, screen, and pointers will allow students to view and use digital materials in the speech room. A colored printer will allow me to print materials relating to their speech/language goals and benchmarks. The pocket chart, labels, and label maker will help me organize materials and allow for the materials to be easily accessible. The second monitor will assist me during teletherapy sessions. These resources will help promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards for students on my caseload, including SL.K.1 Participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about kindergarten topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups, SL.K.4 Describe familiar people, places, things, and events and, with prompting and support, provide additional detail, L.K.1d Understand and use question words (interrogatives) (e.g., who, what, where, when, why, how), and L.K.1b Use frequently occurring nouns and verbs. These materials will fill a COVID-related learning need in my speech room by giving students access to various digital and printed materials to achieve their speech/language goals and improve their communication skills.
