The handwriting practice will help students communicate legibly when writing paragraphs to share and critique. Providing these types of learning engagements will also help my students engage in positive social emotional skills. They will communicate and collaborate effectively all while building a safe learning environment. These important and effective materials will benefit all of my learners. These tools will encourage a print-rich classroom and emphasize the importance of writing, communicating and collaborating with one another. The standards these materials will support include W3.1: Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons, W3.3: Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences, 1PCE.3.1: Compare a variety of healthy practices and behaviors to maintain or improve personal, community, and environmental health.
