In a world with rapid advancements in Technology and Science, my students need to master the mathematical concepts that will underpin math instruction throughout high school and beyond. Calculators that work are essential to allow students to focus on concepts and procedures rather than basic arithmetic when practicing new skills. Having the tools to work with descriptions of real world situations in math is integral to developing complete mathematical understanding. Students need headphones to ensure that they have full access to every questions even if they have reading deficits. I will also use these headphone to give individual corrections and hints to students during whole group and partner work.
