We spend the majority of time on the rug throughout the day in early elementary. Students love sitting on the rug during circle time, whole group activities, independent work and story time. Having a rug in the room allows my students and I to have a place where we get together for different activities. Sitting together on the rug is where students get to interact with each other instead of sitting at their table throughout the day. With your donation, my students will be able to interact and talk to their peers on the rug. I know that this classroom rug will give my students the space they need to be comfortable and focus on learning. It will provide a spot where they are close and most attentive. Gathering on the rug also provides little distraction as opposed to learning from their desks. The children are able to listen and focus within close proximity to the teacher. It' is easier for them to see the lesson and learn from the anchor chart while at the rug.
